Robyn Hodge, MSW, RSW
Life can be really hard, and finding a safe place to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and explore your wellbeing can be even harder. Your journey, life experiences, and challenges are unique to you. I believe the connection between a therapist and client is essential to the overall counselling process. I strive to be open, honest and work with you to tackle whatever is causing you pain or distress.
I have been a practicing social worker for just over ten years. I have worked with individuals and families facing all kinds of challenges including mental health, addiction, grief, life transition, trauma, and relationship conflict. I graduated with my Masters of Social Work and have worked in both community and medical social work settings. I have enhanced training in Trauma counselling and extensive experience supporting Survivors of Human Trafficking. Within the practice areas listed above my target age range for service is 21+. I believe you are your own greatest resource and I want to be part of developing tools and strategies to help reach your wellness goals. You matter!
As each client is unique, so too is the approach I take in my counselling practice. I use an integrated therapeutic approach, drawing from Cognitive behaviour therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy or ACT, and a strength-based approach. Self-determination and a client centered approach will guide our work together to develop a realistic and tangible plan for your healing and wellbeing.
Sessions are currently being offered both in-person and virtually. I invite you to reach out to me to ask any questions you may have.
