Katie Tubb, MSW, RSW

Hi there,

 

I'm Katie, a registered social worker (OCSWSSW) serving clients in the Windsor-Essex region and across Ontario. I am also the founder of the Therapy and Wellness Collective. I recognize that reaching out to a therapist can feel daunting, so my priority is to make this process as comfortable as possible. To help ease any uncertainty, I offer a complimentary ten-minute phone consultation where we can discuss any questions you may have about me, my therapeutic approach, and what to expect in our initial session.

I bring a diverse educational background that supports a holistic, client-centered perspective. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University (2009). These combined experiences shape my comprehensive understanding of the many factors that contribute to well-being.

 

Throughout my career, I’ve supported children, youth, and adults in navigating a wide range of concerns. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, self-compassion, workplace stress, self-harm, relationship challenges, academic pressures, and managing complex health needs.

My therapeutic toolkit includes Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based approaches, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness practices. As a certified SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) practitioner, I also work with parents to help them confidently support their child or adolescent through anxiety-related challenges.

At the heart of my practice is a commitment to creating a safe, authentic, and inclusive space where you can openly explore the issues causing you distress. Together, we will identify goals, build coping strategies, and cultivate new perspectives that empower meaningful, lasting change. I am deeply invested in my clients’ well-being and dedicated to equipping you with the tools you need to navigate life’s ups and downs.
